Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still Life Study by Martin Mooney was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006. It achieved a price of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,254.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Mooney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,105.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still Life Study von Martin Mooney kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.254,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Martin Mooney mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.105,52) versteigert wurde.
