Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bacino and Entrance to the Grand Canal, Venice by Martin Mooney was auctioned at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,321.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Mooney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,105.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bacino and Entrance to the Grand Canal, Venice von Martin Mooney kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.321,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Martin Mooney mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.105,52) versteigert wurde.
