The work Arch, Dungarpur, Rajasthan, India by Martin Mooney was sold in the Irish and 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2004. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,303.06), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Mooney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,105.52).

Die Arbeit Arch, Dungarpur, Rajasthan, India von Martin Mooney wurde im Mai 2004 in der Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.868,00 (€ 4.303,06) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Martin Mooney mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.105,52) versteigert wurde.
