Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study Light by Martin Mooney was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,576.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Martin Mooney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,105.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study Light von Martin Mooney kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.576,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Mooney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute from the Redentore, Venice im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.105,52).
