Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Martin Maloney could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Day Auction auction, the work (I) Untitled Portrait (Ii) Study For Genre Painting - Remote Control (Iii) Untitled Portrait (Yellow Jumper) (Iv) Untitled Portrait changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 880.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Maloney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled Portrait (Jerry) in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,419.50).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Maloney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled Portrait (Jerry) im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 15.419,50).
