In the American Art auction, the work Apple Blossoms And Hummingbird sold for USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,230.85) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Johnson Heade achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Great Florida Sunset in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,850,000.00 (€ 5,538,723.73).
