Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life of Roses by Martin Johnson Heade was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,600.00 (€ 70,450.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Johnson Heade achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Great Florida Sunset in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,850,000.00 (€ 5,538,723.73).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 70.450,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00.
