Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Roses in a Metal Vase by Martin Johnson Heade was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. The price achieved of USD 40,960.00 (€ 38,445.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Johnson Heade achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Great Florida Sunset in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,850,000.00 (€ 5,538,723.73).

Die Arbeit Two Roses in a Metal Vase von Martin Johnson Heade kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.960,00 (€ 38.445,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden.
