Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Martin Boyce achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2014. In the First Open/LDN auction, the work In the Air sold for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 41,744.54) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Martin Boyce; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in March 2017 with the realized price of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,876.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Martin Boyce erzielte im September 2014 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open/LDN wurde die Arbeit In the Air für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 41.744,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Martin Boyce; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.876,05).
