Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds by Mark Wallinger for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,454.11). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Wallinger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work (I) The Word In The Desert I (Ii) The Word In The Desert Ii (Iii) The Word In The Desert Iii (Iv) The Word In The Desert Iv (V) The Word In The Desert V in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,500.00 (€ 69,649.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds von Mark Wallinger für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.454,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Wallinger erzielen.
