Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction: Online, which included the work Transition Team by Mark Tansey. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 88,200.00 (€ 73,819.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Tansey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Source Of The Loue in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 7,453,600.00 (€ 6,386,975.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Transition Team von Mark Tansey zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 73.819,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Tansey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Source Of The Loue im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.453.600,00 (€ 6.386.975,15).
