This artwork by Mark Tansey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November 2021. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Garden sold for USD 2,934,000.00 (€ 2,599,450.70) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Tansey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Source Of The Loue, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 7,453,600.00 (€ 6,386,975.15).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Tansey erzielte im November 2021 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Garden für USD 2.934.000,00 (€ 2.599.450,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Tansey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Source Of The Loue beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 7.453.600,00 (€ 6.386.975,15) versteigert wurde.
