Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Discoveries, which included the work Ron Rewald & Bishop Baldwin Rewald Dillingham & Wong of Honolulu c. 1978-83 (3rd version) by Mark Lombardi. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,358.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Lombardi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bill Clinton, the Lippo Group, and Jackson Stephens of Little Rock, Arkansas (3rd version) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 72,500.00 (€ 60,934.61).
