This artwork by Mark Lombardi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in December 2012. In the Under the Influence auction, the work Untitled (all parties – BCCI, Nugan Hand, et al.) sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,474.71) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Lombardi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bill Clinton, the Lippo Group, and Jackson Stephens of Little Rock, Arkansas (3rd version) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 72,500.00 (€ 60,934.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Lombardi erzielte im Dezember 2012 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Under the Influence wurde die Arbeit Untitled (all parties – BCCI, Nugan Hand, et al.) für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.474,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Lombardi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bill Clinton, the Lippo Group, and Jackson Stephens of Little Rock, Arkansas (3rd version) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.500,00 (€ 60.934,61).
