Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mayakovsky by Mark di Suvero was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 56,700.00 (€ 52,837.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark di Suvero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tumbleweed II (Joint) in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 548,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mayakovsky von Mark di Suvero kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 56.700,00 (€ 52.837,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark di Suvero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tumbleweed II (Joint) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 548.000,00.
