Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paesaggio by Mario Giacomelli was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,115.00 (€ 2,383.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mario Giacomelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,279.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paesaggio von Mario Giacomelli kam im April 2001 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.115,00 (€ 2.383,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Giacomelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.279,51).
