Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scanno by Mario Giacomelli was auctioned at Phillips in London in November last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,212.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mario Giacomelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,279.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scanno von Mario Giacomelli kam im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.212,12) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Giacomelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.279,51).
