Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Pretini (Young Priests), No. 71 by Mario Giacomelli for GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,482.27). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Giacomelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Images in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,279.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pretini (Young Priests), No. 71 von Mario Giacomelli für GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.482,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Giacomelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Images im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.279,51).
