Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scanno, paese d'Abruzzo by Mario Giacomelli was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 5,334.00 (€ 4,831.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mario Giacomelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,279.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scanno, paese d'Abruzzo von Mario Giacomelli kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.334,00 (€ 4.831,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mario Giacomelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.279,51) versteigert wurde.
