Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Sin Título by Mario Carreño for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,404.30). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Carreño achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cortadores De Caña in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 2,660,000.00 (€ 2,368,444.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sin Título von Mario Carreño für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.404,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Carreño erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cortadores De Caña im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.660.000,00 (€ 2.368.444,48).
