This artwork by Mario Carreño achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Parque Tropical sold for USD 131,250.00 (€ 116,864.04) - well above the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Carreño achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cortadores De Caña in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 2,660,000.00 (€ 2,368,444.48).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mario Carreño erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Parque Tropical für USD 131.250,00 (€ 116.864,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Carreño erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cortadores De Caña im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.660.000,00 (€ 2.368.444,48).
