Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Carreño auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cortadores De Caña im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.660.000,00 (€ 2.368.444,48).
