Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Columna Del Tiempo Inmóvil by Mario Carreño was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,241.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Carreño achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cortadores De Caña in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 2,660,000.00 (€ 2,368,444.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Columna Del Tiempo Inmóvil von Mario Carreño kam im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.241,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Carreño erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cortadores De Caña im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.660.000,00 (€ 2.368.444,48).
