Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Femininity Helps at Work by Marcin Maciejowski was sold in the The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints auction at Christies in New York in October 2018. It achieved a price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,958.35), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Marcin Maciejowski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Picasso'S Boy With Pipe in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,646.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Femininity Helps at Work von Marcin Maciejowski wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.958,35) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcin Maciejowski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Picasso'S Boy With Pipe im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.646,17).
