The work “Knotted Chair" by Marcel Wanders was sold in the Saturday@Phillips auction at Phillips in New York in December 2006. It achieved a price of USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,454.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Wanders achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fauteuil "Crochet Chair", 2006 in October 2013 with an auction result of EUR 17,537.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit “Knotted Chair" von Marcel Wanders wurde im Dezember 2006 in der Auktion Saturday@Phillips bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.454,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Wanders erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fauteuil "Crochet Chair", 2006 im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.537,00.
