Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Knotted Chair by Marcel Wanders for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,181.88). This price was achieved in the auction The Hoarder Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Wanders achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fauteuil "Crochet Chair", 2006 in October 2013 with an auction result of EUR 17,537.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Knotted Chair von Marcel Wanders für GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.181,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Hoarder Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Wanders erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fauteuil "Crochet Chair", 2006 im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.537,00.
