The work 9 moules mâlic, étude by Marcel Duchamp was auctioned at Christies in London in March this year. It achieved a price of GBP 151,200.00 (€ 172,019.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Duchamp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Belle haleine - Eau de voilette in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 8,913,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit 9 moules mâlic, étude von Marcel Duchamp kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 151.200,00 (€ 172.019,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Duchamp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Belle haleine - Eau de voilette im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.913.000,00.
