Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Painter of the Eiffel Tower, Paris, France by Marc Riboud was auctioned at Phillips in London in September 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,615.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marc Riboud - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 12 Photographs, 1950S-1980S, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 13,700.00 (€ 19,183.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Painter of the Eiffel Tower, Paris, France von Marc Riboud kam im September 2020 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.615,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Marc Riboud mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 12 Photographs, 1950S-1980S beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 13.700,00 (€ 19.183,54) versteigert wurde.
