Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Discovery on Madison Online, which included the work The Painter of the Eiffel Tower by Marc Riboud. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,411.71). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marc Riboud - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 12 Photographs, 1950S-1980S, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 13,700.00 (€ 19,183.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Discovery on Madison Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Painter of the Eiffel Tower von Marc Riboud zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.737,50 (€ 5.411,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Marc Riboud mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 12 Photographs, 1950S-1980S beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 13.700,00 (€ 19.183,54) versteigert wurde.
