Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marc Riboud could be acquired at Phillips in London in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Selected Images changed hands for GBP 1,905.00 (€ 2,216.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marc Riboud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 12 Photographs, 1950S-1980S in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 13,700.00 (€ 19,183.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marc Riboud konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Selected Images für GBP 1.905,00 (€ 2.216,48) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Riboud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 12 Photographs, 1950S-1980S im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.700,00 (€ 19.183,54).
