Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Painter on the Eiffel Tower, Paris' by Marc Riboud was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,543.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marc Riboud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 12 Photographs, 1950S-1980S in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 13,700.00 (€ 19,183.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Painter on the Eiffel Tower, Paris' von Marc Riboud kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.788,00 (€ 4.543,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Riboud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 12 Photographs, 1950S-1980S im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.700,00 (€ 19.183,54).
