Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Her Coat Was Of Many Colours (Triptych) by Magnus Plessen was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2014. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 31,250.00 (€ 24,746.59). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Magnus Plessen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,751.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Her Coat Was Of Many Colours (Triptych) von Magnus Plessen kam im September 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 31.250,00 (€ 24.746,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Magnus Plessen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 42.000,00 (€ 62.751,74) versteigert wurde.
