Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Garten 1 by Magnus Plessen for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 28,072.31). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Magnus Plessen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,751.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Garten 1 von Magnus Plessen für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 28.072,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Magnus Plessen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 42.000,00 (€ 62.751,74) versteigert wurde.
