The work Iceberg V, Disko Bay, Greenland by Lynn Davis was auctioned at Phillips in New York in July 2020. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,739.94), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lynn Davis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000, which sold at auction in October 2019 for USD 36,250.00 (€ 32,496.64).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Iceberg V, Disko Bay, Greenland von Lynn Davis kam im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.739,94) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lynn Davis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für USD 36.250,00 (€ 32.496,64) versteigert wurde.
