Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horseshoe Falls, Ontario, Canada by Lynn Davis was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,620.00 (€ 7,210.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lynn Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 36,250.00 (€ 32,496.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horseshoe Falls, Ontario, Canada von Lynn Davis kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.620,00 (€ 7.210,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lynn Davis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.250,00 (€ 32.496,64).
