Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cheops, Giza, Cairo, Egypt by Lynn Davis was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. The price achieved of USD 7,620.00 (€ 7,210.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lynn Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 36,250.00 (€ 32,496.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cheops, Giza, Cairo, Egypt von Lynn Davis kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.620,00 (€ 7.210,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lynn Davis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.250,00 (€ 32.496,64).
