Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Louise Nevelson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October this year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Tropical Leaves (B. 113) sold for USD 10,160.00 (€ 9,613.93) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Nevelson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dawn's Landscape XLIII in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,159,200.00 (€ 1,122,929.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louise Nevelson erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Tropical Leaves (B. 113) für USD 10.160,00 (€ 9.613,93) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Nevelson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dawn's Landscape XLIII im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.159.200,00 (€ 1.122.929,38).
