Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work Boats on a beach by Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,226.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bateaux échoués (Honfleur, Low Tide) in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 153,100.00 (€ 120,116.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats on a beach von Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.226,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bateaux échoués (Honfleur, Low Tide) im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.100,00 (€ 120.116,11).
