Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & XIXth Century Art, which included the work Voiliers Par Gros Temps by Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,900.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bateaux échoués (Honfleur, Low Tide) in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 153,100.00 (€ 120,116.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & XIXth Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Voiliers Par Gros Temps von Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.900,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bateaux échoués (Honfleur, Low Tide) im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.100,00 (€ 120.116,11).
