A top price for Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey - as previously expected
In October 2004 Christies in New York held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work Bateaux échoués (Honfleur, Low Tide) by Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey. The price achieved of USD 153,100.00 (€ 120,116.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Bateaux échoués (Honfleur, Low Tide) is the most expensive artwork by Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bateaux échoués (Honfleur, Low Tide) von Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 153.100,00 (€ 120.116,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Bateaux échoués (Honfleur, Low Tide) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
