Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Nude) by Lou Stoumen for USD 1,410.00 (€ 1,574.01). This price was achieved in the auction PHOTOGRAPHS at Christies in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Lou Stoumen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Forty Years: Lou Stoumen in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,197.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Nude) von Lou Stoumen für USD 1.410,00 (€ 1.574,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS bei Christies in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lou Stoumen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Forty Years: Lou Stoumen im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.197,35).
