Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Lou Stoumen was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July 2019. The price achieved of USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,145.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Lou Stoumen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Forty Years: Lou Stoumen in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,197.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lou Stoumen kam im Juli 2019 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.145,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lou Stoumen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Forty Years: Lou Stoumen im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.197,35).
