Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Girón Vi, Rojo by Los Carpinteros. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,960.69). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Los Carpinteros - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sala De Lectura Origami, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,903.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girón Vi, Rojo von Los Carpinteros zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.960,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Los Carpinteros mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sala De Lectura Origami beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 44.903,46) versteigert wurde.
