Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chinese Untitled (Diptych) by Liu Yujun was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in December 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Liu Yujun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sans titre in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 35,050.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chinese Untitled (Diptych) von Liu Yujun kam im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Yujun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sans titre im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.050,00.
