Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sleeping and Insomnia Series No. 1 by Liu Xiaodong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in March 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 262,500.00 (€ 29,784.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Xiaodong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Disobeying The Rules in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 66,200,000.00 (€ 6,815,482.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sleeping and Insomnia Series No. 1 von Liu Xiaodong kam im März 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 262.500,00 (€ 29.784,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Xiaodong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Disobeying The Rules im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.200.000,00 (€ 6.815.482,84).
