Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Big Valley by Liu Xiaodong was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in July last year. The price achieved of HKD 1,440,000.00 (€ 179,682.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Xiaodong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Disobeying The Rules in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 66,200,000.00 (€ 6,815,482.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Big Valley von Liu Xiaodong kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.440.000,00 (€ 179.682,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Xiaodong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Disobeying The Rules im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.200.000,00 (€ 6.815.482,84).
