Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Dying Rabbit and Nothing to do Men No. 2 by Liu Xiaodong was auctioned at Christies in Paris in September last year. The price achieved of EUR 403,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Xiaodong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Disobeying The Rules in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 66,200,000.00 (€ 6,815,482.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Dying Rabbit and Nothing to do Men No. 2 von Liu Xiaodong kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 403.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Xiaodong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Disobeying The Rules im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.200.000,00 (€ 6.815.482,84).
