A top price for Liu Xiaodong
The work Disobeying The Rules by Liu Xiaodong was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Asian Art — Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 65,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 66,200,000.00 (€ 6,815,482.84). With this result, Disobeying The Rules is even the most expensive work of art by Liu Xiaodong that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Disobeying The Rules von Liu Xiaodong wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Asian Art — Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 65.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 66.200.000,00 (€ 6.815.482,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Disobeying The Rules sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Liu Xiaodong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
