Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sleeping and Insomnia Series No. 14 by Liu Xiaodong was sold in the First Open | Hong Kong auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March 2019. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,529.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Xiaodong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Disobeying The Rules in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 66,200,000.00 (€ 6,815,482.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sleeping and Insomnia Series No. 14 von Liu Xiaodong wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion First Open | Hong Kong bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 25.529,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Xiaodong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Disobeying The Rules im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.200.000,00 (€ 6.815.482,84).
