The work Unknown by Liu Jiutong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 94,574.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Liu Jiutong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mountain Against Island sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Liu Jiutong kam im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 94.574,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Liu Jiutong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mountain Against Island im November 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90).
